- Mandrel Industries (Calgary, Alberta) - Chief Engineer (manufacturers of Dumont VHF/UHF communication equipment on contract)
- Alberta Government Telephones - Instructor (worked out of the Mobile Radio Telephone Labs)
- 1952 - Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (Toronto) - early stages of CBC Television studios.
Amateur Radio History
- 1935 – First licensed as VE3AIS in Toronto.
- 1950 - obtained two-letter call sign VE3VP.
- Held the call sign VE6VP while in Calgary
Additional Information
Interested in all phases of amateur radio. Owned SB101 and SB640 with homebrew linear amplifier.
Other interests - 26 foot vintage power cruiser on Rideau Canal at Merrickville. Also Private Pilot licence.
Member of OARC, serving as Secretary in 1971 and a candidate for Vice President, according to the June 1971 Groundwave.
He was also a member of OVMRC and served as Public-Relations Coordinator (1973-1974).
Joined Quarter Century Wireless Association in 1974 and was one of the twenty-one Charter Members of Chapter 70.
Passed away August 2, 1988 at the age of 74 years.
