- 1950-1953 - On air using the RCAF Rockcliffe club station with my own call sign VE3DAB.
- 1997 – Inspired by Ed VE3GX and Doreen VE3CGO, got back on the air as VE3VK, after a long period inactive.

Member of QCWA and Chapter 70. Served as Vice-President 2002-2007, stepping in as Acting President for Gerry King – VE3GK who had died while in office.
