Amateur Radio History

• 1949 – First licensed as VE3DAB
• 1949-1950 – On air using the RCAF Clinton club station VE3BER
• 1950-1953 - On air using the RCAF Rockcliffe club station with my own call sign VE3DAB.
• 1997 – Inspired by Ed VE3GX and Doreen VE3CGO, got back on the air as VE3VK, after a long period inactive.

Member of RAC.

Member of QCWA and Chapter 70. Served as Vice-President 2002-2007, stepping in as Acting President for Gerry King – VE3GK who had died while in office.

Member of the Organizing Committee for the QCWA 2004 International Convention.

Received QCWA “60 Years Licensed” Golden Certificate and lapel pin at the Chapter 70 May 2009 dinner meeting.
