- 1972 – Department of Transport - Radio School and WX Observer School in Ottawa. Related professional training includes Pre-Flight Weather Briefing, Marine Navigation, Marine Data Systems, and Marine VHF Direction Finding.
- 1972-1973 Aeradio and Marine Radio Operator Weather Observer – Mont-Joli, QC (YYY/VCF)
- 1973–1974 Marine Radio Operator Weather Observer – Riviere du Loup, QC (VCD)
- 1974-75 – Aeradio Radio Operator Weather Observer – Lake Eon, QC (YEO)
- 1975-1978 – Department of Transport in Mont-Joli – Flight Service Specialist and Aeradio and Marine Radio Operator Weather Observer

Amateur Radio History
- Started short-wave listening around the age of 15 and got into CB/GRS around 1969-1972 before posting to Quebec.
- 1981 – First licensed as VE2FZA.
- 1982 – Advanced Certificate.
- 1997 – Moved to Ottawa. Became VA3FZA.
- 2001 – Acquired VE3VCF, (after VCF Mont Joli). Main call sign now.
