Background
Ken grew up in England.
Education / Employment History
- 1947-1952 – Royal Air Force – Boy Entrant Telegraphist - at #3 Radio School at Compton Bassett and later Wireless Fitter - at #1 Radio School at Locking.
- 1952-1957 - Ministry of Civil Aviation (Isle of Man) - avionics technologist - Ronaldsway Airport and Snaefell Mountain aeronautical radio station.
- 1957–1960 - Spartan Air Services – on Northern Canada Aerial Survey operations – Cambridge Bay, Pelly Lake, Shepherd's Bay, Resolute, Churchill, Yellowknife,
Schefferville.
- 1960-1974 - Technical Materiel Corporation (Canada) Ltd. – various positions, finally as Technical Director Field Services, responsible for providing trouble
shooting services to military/quasi military communications facilities on four continents.
- 1974-1996 – Department of Communications – began as Radio Inspector, and finally as Technical Director - Certification and Engineering Bureau
- 1996-2000 - Spectrum Management Consultant in Central and South America.
Amateur Radio History
- 1952 – First licensed as GD3IBQ on the Isle of Man
- 1957 – Assigned VE3ENH in Ottawa and used VE8/VE3ENH at various Arctic locations – Cambridge Bay, Pelly Bay,
- 1973 – obtained two-letter call sign VE3VC, originally held by Doug Carroll, President of TMC.

Member of QCWA and Chapter 70.
He received his QCWA “55 Years Licensed” Golden Certificate and lapel pin at the Chapter 70 May 2007 dinner meeting.
Ken passed away Sept 29, 2018.
