- 1936 – Graduated from University of Toronto as a professional engineer (electrical branch).
- After graduation he joined Canadian Line Materials and later Canadian Westinghouse Company
- 1942-1946 - Stewart-Warner Corporation – Chief Engineer
- 1946-1971 - Bell Telephone Company of Canada – Area Equipment Engineer in three areas. Retired from Bell in 1971.
Amateur Radio History
- 1934 - First licensed as VE3AAL in Petrolia, Ontario. Later operated in Hamilton, Belleville, and Toronto using this call sign.
- 1953 - Moved to Montreal and received the call sign VE2AEL
- 1966 - Moved to Ottawa and obtained the call sign VE3OZ, held since.
Additional Information
Operated on most bands and most modes during his 48 years in amateur radio
First operated SSB in 1949, one of the first Canadian stations on SSB, together with VE2SA and VE3EI.
Was also active in Ottawa on 2M FM.
1968-1972 - President of Champlain Regional Repeater Ass'n. Maintained repeaters VE3STP and VE3KBR.
Member of QCWA and one of twenty-one Charter Members of Chapter 70.
He passed away on April 10, 1982.
