- 1939-1946 - Royal Canadian Navy. Discharged with rank of Lieutenant (N).
- 1946-1949 - Canadian Pacific Airlines
- 1949- Joined Department of National Defence – Electronic Standards Officer
Amateur Radio History
- Bud’s initial interest in amateur radio was in building things. In the depression that also meant building many of the parts. His interest in building remained until his death.
- 1936 – First licensed in Winnipeg.
- 1949 – Assigned call sign VE3ET upon moving to Ottawa.
Additional Information
Bud was a member of Quarter Century Wireless Association and served as a Director of Chapter 70 in 1981-1982.
Bud passed away on Oct 20, 1993 at the age of 75 years.
