- 1942-1945 - Dept of Munitions & Supplies (Washington, DC)
- 1945-1967 - Bell Telephone Company of Canada (various functions)
Amateur Radio History
- 1913-1914 – Learned Morse Code at Boy’s School in Toronto.
- 1920-1921 – Used 3ME (no prefix) in Toronto. He would work ships near Owen Sound using 2” spark coil, electrolytic interrupter and rotary gap.
- 1926 - He passed his amateur examination in Montreal and received call sign VE2EM (held since). Used pair of 210 tubes as transmitter.
Additional Information
He joined QCWA in 1976 and was a member of Chapter 70.
Lance was presented with his “50 Year Licensed” Golden Certificate and lapel pin at the May 1978 dinner meeting
He passed away in early 1989 in Montreal.
